The WTA Indian Wells Open or WTA BNP Paribas Open is an annual women’s tennis tournament. It is a professional event authorized by WTA under their WTA Tour’s 1000 series. The event is often called the fifth grand slam by loving fans.

Belarusian professional, Aryna Sabalenka is the second seed in California this week. She is ranked 2nd in the WTA singles standings. Sabalenka just won her career first grand slam title at the Australian Open, defeating Elena Rybakina in the finals. Just before that, she added Adelaide 1 win as her career 11th title.
Jessica Pegula will join the WTA Indian Wells Open 2023 as the 3rd seed. The American just reached her career-highest WTA singles ranking of 3rd in the last week of February. She started the year by helping the USA win the United Cup 2023, defeating Martina Trevisan in the finals. Pegula also recently reached her career’s first WTA 500 final at WTA Qatar Open.
