The upcoming Porsche Tennis Grand Prix will be the 45th edition of the popular German professional tennis event. Alternatively known as Stuttgart Open, the event is currently a part of the WTA Tour’s 500 series. This year, the indoor clay court-based event will feature a $780,637 prize pool.
Polish professional Iga Swiatek is the leading seed at the upcoming event. The young female tennis player is the leading competitor on the WTA singles worldwide leaderboard. By defending her title at the 2023 Qatar Total Open, Swiatek earned her 12th title this year. Last month, however, she had to withdraw from the Miami Open due to a rib injury.
Aryna Sabalenka is the second seed at the upcoming German event. The Belarusian professional is ranked 2nd worldwide in WTA singles. She won her first grand slam singles title at the Australian Open 2023. Sabalenka was a finalist at the recent Indian Wells, where she lost to Elena Rybakina.
The 3rd seed of the upcoming WTA 500 series competition is the Tunisian female professional Ons Jabeur. She is ranked 4th in WTA singles since April 10th. She was the US Open and Wimbledon finalist in 2022. Jabeur won her fourth singles title defending the Credit Open Charleston Open 2023.
