Great Britain is set to start their Davis Cup Finals campaign against the United States of America as the pair are scheduled to face each other on Sept 14 at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.
The prestigious Davis Cup Finals is just a moment away from us. With the conclusion of the US Open, all the attention of tennis fans across the globe has gone to the 2022 Davis Cup Finals group stage that is going to begin this Tuesday on the 13th of September.
Great Britain and the US are two nations with huge fan-following. Based on their seedings, both teams are put into Group C. The other two teams in Group C are- Netherlands and Kazakhstan.
Led by Leon Smith, the Britain team includes the likes of Andy Murray, and Cameron Norrie, along with two others. Three of the five players in the squad are in the top 50 of ATP rankings. Coming in with such a solid team, GB is predicted to make it out of the group stage fairly easily.
The United States team is the joint favorite with GB to top the group stage. With in-form players such as Taylor fritz and Tommy Paul in the squad, along with Jack Sock, who is considered among the best doubles players ever, team US is looking to put on a dominant performance
The clash between these two powerhouse nations will take place on the 2nd day of the group stage. Britain will be playing in front of their home crowd as the match will take place in Glasgow. Getting to witness such a high-voltage match so early in the tournament has made tennis fans even more excited about the Davis Cup Finals.
