Like the previous years, it will be held in Indian Wells, California. The event will feature a $10.14 million purse pool for the men’s division. A total of 128 professional tennis players will be participating in the first round. Moreover, defending champion Taylor Fritz will be present in the event.
The young Spanish professional, Carlos Alcaraz is the leading seed at the upcoming event. He is ranked 2nd worldwide in ATP singles standings, only at age 19. Last year, Alcaraz won the US Open as his career first grand slam. However, he recently lost to Cameron Norrie and failed to defend his Rio Open title.
Greek player, Stefanos Tsitsipas will be the 2nd seed at California this week. He again reached his career-highest 3rd rank at ATP singles last month. Most recently, Tsitsipas lost no Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open finals. However, Tsitsipas recorded career 250th win just before that at the 2023 United Cup.
The 3rd seed at the ATP Indian Wells 2023 will be Casper Ruud. The Norwegian professional is sitting in 4th place in the ATP singles standings since January. He participated in the United Cup 2023 with the Norway team but failed to advance into the knockout stage.
