Six-red World Championship is an international six-red snooker tournament. Established in 2008, the event currently is organized annually with the authorization of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association under their World Snooker Tour.
The latest edition is dubbed “2023 Pathum Thani Six-red World Championship.” It is scheduled to initiate this Monday and will run for a week. A total of 32 professional snooker players will compete in the event.
2023 Six-red tournament will feature a purse pool of $313,396 or ฿11,000,000. The winner’s share will be around $121,951 or ฿ 4,200,000. As usual, the tournament will be divided into two stages – the group stage, and the playoff stage.
During the group stage, players will be divided into groups of four. Upon completion of the group stage, two participants from each group will advance to the knockout stage. As the title suggests, tournament games will follow the super 6s snooker format.
