World Rugby Sevens is a popular international rugby sevens series. It has been held annually since the inauguration in 1999 by the World Rugby.
The 2022 World Rugby Sevens series is the 24th season of the series. This year’s sponsor is HSBC. Therefore, the series’ official title is “HSBC World Rugby Sevens” this year.
There will be 11 different legs this year. The upcoming 3rd leg is scheduled for South Africa’s Cape Town. The event will feature competition for both men’s and women’s disciplines. Both competitions will be divided in group and knockout stage.
For men’s competition, a total of 16 international teams will be participating. They will be divided in 4 different group pools. While 12 international teams are selected to participate in the women’s discipline. They will be divided in 3 pools with 4 teams in each.
