This year’s first tournament of Rugby Sevens 2022-23 series is scheduled to be announced in New Zealand this Friday with the Rugby Sevens Hamilton 2023

The Rugby Sevens Hamilton is officially titled “HSBC New Zealand Sevens” tournament. It is a part of the popular international Rugby Sevens series. First founded in 2000, the event has been running in Hamilton every year since.
After two years of cancellation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Rugby Sevens coming back to Hamilton with the upcoming Rugby Sevens Hamilton 2023 event. It will be 22nd addition to the event’s annual runtime.
The upcoming HSBC New Zealand Sevens event will be a part of the ongoing 2022-23 World Rugby Sevens series. Also, the event will inaugurate the series’ 2023 calendar since the South Africa competition on 9 December 2022.
A total of 16 international male teams and 12 international female teams will participate in the upcoming New Zealand rugby sevens event. Among the 16 male teams, 15 will be core teams while one has been selected via invitational. While in 12 female teams, 11 are from core teams and one has been selected via invitational.
Each gender discipline will have their individual competition in the event. In addition, the 3-day event will also feature some amazing live music festival with popular artists such as Brook Gibson, Pixie Lane and more.

The upcoming Rugby Sevens Hamilton event will begin this Friday, January 20, 2023. The men’s competition will start at 03:10 p.m. ET. Following that, women’s tournament will start at 04:38 p.m. ET on the same day.
