The Italian GP 2022 is officially known as the Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio d’Italia 2022. The Formula One motor race is scheduled to take place on 11 September 2022 at the Monza Circuit in Monza, Italy. It is the sixteenth round of this year’s championship. One minute of silence was held prior to the first session on Friday and to be held before the race startson Sunday in mourn of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
Defending Winner: Daniel Ricciardo
Daniel Ricciardo won the previous edition of the Italian Grand Prix last year. The Italian-Australian racing driver is currently driving for McLaren-Mercedes, lifting the Australian flag. He also won the Canadian Grand Prix in 2014. He secured eight wins in his Formula One World Championship career.
