Ben Stokes is an English Cricketer. He plays for the England One Day International
Team and T20 International Team. He is the captain of the England Test Team. He also plays domestic cricket in multiple T20 leagues including the Indian Premier League. The left-handed middle-order batsman and right-arm fast bowler, Ben Stokes announced his intent to retire from ODI cricket on 18 July 2022.

Domestic Career:
Stokes made his debut in 2009 for Durham against Surrey in a One-Day match. In that year he played in two tests against Bangladesh U19 Team. He was selected for the Under-19 World Cup. His 1st class debut was against Marylebone Cricket Club. He made the Championship debut for Durham against Essex. In 2015, Stokes played Australia’s Big Bash League side Melbourne Renegades.
IPL Career:
Stokes played for Rising Pune Supergiants for the 2017 season. That season he was awarded the Man Of The Match Trophy. In 2018 he was the most expensive player as he was bought by Rajasthan Royals.
International Career:
For the ODI, Stokes made his debut against Ireland in 2011. Then he played the next series against India. At that time he was injured so he was picked only as a batsman. After recovering from the injury Stokes was again picked up for the ODI squad in 2014 against West Indies. In 2017, he performed an impressive way in the 2017 Champions Trophy. Then he was picked to represent England in the World Cup 2019. For his best performance, England won the World Cup that time.
For the T20, Stokes start his debut against West Indies in 2011. Then he played against New Zealand in two matches. He was ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2016 for punching a locker after a match against West Indies. In 2015, he was in the squad against New Zealand where he scored 24 not out and took 2 fantasy wickets. In 2021, he played against India.
For the Test, he made his Test debut against Australia in Adelaide in 2013. It was during the Ashes Series that Stokes made his strong all-around performance scoring 279 runs and also taking 15 wickets. In 2014, he played against India. He was also selected for the Ashes 2015. In 2016, he played against Sri Lanka. In 2016-17 he played against India. Stokes once again proved his best performance in the Ashes 2019 after well performing in the World Cup 2019.
