Wilson, who played for the Seahawks till 2011, still has two years of contract left with them. However, with this contract extension, he is set to be with the Denver Broncos until 2028. The 33-year-old himself looks to spend the rest of his career in Denver. “(i want to stay) for a long, long time, hopefully the rest of my career.” remarked the former Super-bowl winner.
“My goal is to play 10 or 12 more years and hopefully win three, four more Super Bowls, that’s the plan. That’s the mindset. That’s why I came here, to finish my career here and hopefully finish on top as a champion. And do it multiple times,” added Wilson
The Broncos are preparing big for the 2022 regular NFL season. The 3-time super bowl winner is determined to win their 4th one this season as they are making massive investments. Along with Wilson, they have also acquired quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, and defensive lineman Shelby Harris.
Russel Wilson is making his 11th appearance in the NFL. Denver, which has not made the playoffs of the NFL since 2015, is on its course to be one of the top contenders this season with these investments.
Wilson will be making his debut for the Broncos on Sept 12 in an away game against the Seattle Seahawks.
