New York Jets have defeated Atlanta Falcons 24-16 in the 2nd week of the 2022 NFL Preseason at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
The 2022 NFL preseason is drawing closer to its end with the Falcons vs. Jets match marking the end of the penultimate week of the preseason. The Match generated reasonable hype among the fans as both teams won their first week games.
The Falcons won against the Detroit Lions (27-23) in Fort Field, while the Jets beat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-21 in Lincoln Financial Field.
In the Jets vs. Falcon game this Wednesday, the first half was all Falcons. With stunning performances from Marcus Mariota and Kyle Pitts, Falcons took a massive lead of 16-0 at one point in the first half.
Mariota went 6/10 for 132 yards and a touchdown. However, when the 2nd preseason win in a row for the team of Atlanta looked all but done, the Jets pulled off a massive comeback.
Being down 16-0, the Jets managed to take 3 straight points before the end of the first half. The comeback started once Jets backup quarterback Chris Strevele entered the field. On his initial possession of the game, Streveler directed an 8-play, 74-yard touchdown drive.
This shifted the momentum as the team did not have to look back after that. La’Mical Perine gave them the initial lead after a 7-yard score. But the 8-point lead was achieved when Bradlee Anae recovered a fumble and returned it for a 30-yard touchdown.

After that, they needed to do was put on a solid defense, and they did just that for the last 10 minutes of the game. The highlight player, Streveler went 8/11 for 119 yards with a touchdown and an interception. “There were a lot of guys out there making plays. It’s not just me. I think a lot of guys are feeding off of it,” stated Streveler after the game.
