Cam Newton remains a free agent as the former MVP quarterback’s struggle to find a new team continues.
Cameron “Super Cam” Newton is one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in the NFL. Since getting drafted in 2011, he has played for Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots.
Following his departure from the Panthers in 2021, the 33-year-old became a free agent. Although the 2022 NFL season is just a week away, the veteran quarterback is yet to sign up with a team.

Newton’s free agency has become the talk of the town among the NFL junkies across the world. “Cam Newton will play many more years. He’s not playing now because he doesn’t want to put himself in another “f–ed up situation,” wrote a fan on Twitter. “He’s still a top 10 QB, but can’t prove that on a bad team, or as a backup. Don’t believe the media spin that no one wants him.”
“If we kept it absolutely real, isn’t on a team because he won’t be a back up,” added another fan.
Everyone agrees that Cam Newton was a special player during his prime. Considering there are players like Tom Brady, who is still active well into the age of 45, the fact that Newton is struggling to sign up with a new team at 33 y/o is unfortunate.
With the 2022/23 NFL regular season starting on the 8th of September, 2022, the fans of the Super Cam have their fingers crossed in hopes that they will get to see their favorite quarterback come back into the action with a new team
