One of the greatest quarterbacks ever, Ben Roethlisberger is among the possible names to sign with the Dallas Cowboys as a replacement for the recently-injured Dak Prescott.
The Dallas Cowboys started their 2022 regular season with a devastating loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In addition to the humiliating defeat, their starting quarterback, Dak Prescott, suffered a thumb injury mid-game. Later, it was announced that Prescott will have to go through surgery for a complete recovery and that will render him unable to play for the next six-to-eight weeks.
Following the announcement, the Cowboys started looking for a replacement quarterback. For the time being, they will rely on Cooper Rush to fill in for Prescott. But it is unsure whether Rush will be permanent in the squad or not.
According to BetOnline.ag, Ben Roethlisberger is on the list of possible replacement quarterbacks for the “America’s Team”. The veteran has a 50/1 odds to sign with the Cowboys. However, there are others with more chances to join the Dallas-based team such as; Garret Gilbert (4/1), Ben DiNucci (5/1), Nick Foles (11/2), and Gardner Minshew (6/1). A few more retired quarterbacks like Ryan Fitzpatrick (13/2), Andrew Luck (66/1), Phillip Rivers (50/1), and Drew Brees (66/1) are also in consideration.

Ben Roethlisberger, the legendary quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers, retired after the 2021 NFL season, ending his highly accomplished career of 18 years. He was 39-year-old at the time of his retirement. Although the chances of him coming out of retirement to play for the Cowboys is very slim, the possibility itself is quite intriguing.
