Team Fnatic’s botlane has made a quick recovery from illness and is set to take part in League Of Legends Worlds 2022. However, Hylissang alone will miss the first game against Evil Geniuses as he will not be able to reach Mexico on time. Fnatic TQ’s Rhuckz will replace him to play alongside Upset in that match. Fnatic officially confirmed the updates on Thursday.
Both Upset and Hylissang tested COVID-19 positive and the team announced earlier this week that they might not play in the tournament. It made replacements with temporary substitutes in the team’s roster. Fnatic brought in Bean and Rhuckz at their spots. Fortunately, they both tested negative right on time and have been cleared to travel to North America and participate in the tournament. Now their return will give fans a big relief since the duo is arguably one of the best botlane combinations in the world. They are capable of throwing tough contests to the top eastern teams and can act as major components to claim the title. The botlane is also the strongest point for Fnatic.
The 2022 League of Legends World Championship will kick off on Thursday, September 29 with play-in stages to be held at the Arena Esports Stadium at Artz Pedregal in Mexico City, Mexico. Hylissang is expected to make his appearance in Fnatic’s third group-stage game which is against Japan’s DetonatioN FocusMe and is scheduled on Friday, Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. GMT.
