Curling is one of the most popular indoor sports in Canada. And this year, a new Continental championship is going to enrich the sport’s reach. The first-ever Pan Continental Curling Championship 2022 is starting on October 31, 2022.

2022 will see the inaugural foundation of the Pan Continental Curling Championship. The brand-new event will combine and replace the existing Pacific-Asia Curling Championship and the American Challenge. Additionally, it will serve as a qualifier for the upcoming 2023 World Curling Championship.
The Pan Continental Curling Championship will feature both men’s and women’s disciplines. On the men’s side, eight teams of the A division are enlisted to participate in the upcoming event. While on the women’s side, nine teams of the A division will partake in the event.
Among the A division teams of the men’s side, the top four will qualify for the upcoming World Curling Championship. While the other four will be relegated back to the B division. From the women’s side, the top five teams will earn qualification for the upcoming World Women’s Curling Championship. While the rest of the four will be relegated to the B division as their male counterpart.

When will the Pan Continental Curling Championship 2022 event be held?

The Pan Continental Curling Championship is scheduled to begin upcoming Thursday, November 1, 2022. It will run for over two months, ending on January 8, 2022. This year’s event will go back to the offline participation format for the grand finals.
