The latest season of the popular men’s college basketball tournament, National Invitation Tournament is announced to begin this Tuesday in Las Vegas.

National Invitation Tournament (NIT) is a popular men’s college basketball tournament organized by the NCAA. It was first established in 1938 and has been running annually as a prestigious college basketball showcase.
The upcoming NIT Bracket 2023 will be a part of NCAA’s 2022-23 div 1 basketball season. Like every year, 32 teams will participate in the event. 11 of which have been qualified automatically for their best regular season record. While the rest of the 21 secured positions via at-large bids.
The Dayton and North Carolina men’s basketball teams will not participate in this year’s event. While Liberty Flames from the Atlantic Sun conference and Youngstown State Penguins from Horizon league will make their 1st appearance.
The upcoming event will maintain a bracket-based format. The 32 participating teams will be divided into four brackets with each containing 8 teams. During the first round, every team will compete against another team in the same bracket to get qualified for the second round.

The 2022-23 season NIT Bracket event is scheduled to get underway this Tuesday, March 14, 2023. With the game between Rutgers and Hofstra at 07:00 p.m. ET, the first-round competition will initiate.
