The World Taekwondo Grand Prix is an international taekwondo competition. The event has taken place annually since its founding under the World Taekwondo Federation in 2013. However, due to the covid pandemic, the event was canceled for the past two years. It finally returned this year with the 8th iteration.
The Series 1 & 2 of the 2022 World Taekwondo Grand Slam have already finished. The first event took place in Rome, Italy, and the second in Paris, Spain. South Korea, as in previous years, is already in first place on the medal leaderboard, with 3 gold medals and a total of 9 medals. They are followed by Turkey, which has 5 medals, and France, which has 4 medals.
This event will offer ranking points for the upcoming 2024 Olympics Games. As such, 256 competitors will be participating in the event to rack up some qualification points for the upcoming global championship.
