The FEI World Equestrian Games are the biggest international equestrian sports competitions. The games are held every four years between the summer Olympic Games and include all of the FEI disciplines (eventing, dressage, show jumping, driving, vaulting, reining, endurance, para-dressage, and para-driving) into a single Championship.
2022 will mark the ninth edition of the FEI World Equestrian Games. The top six nations will earn spots in the 2024 summer Olympic Games in Paris, which are scheduled to take place in around two years. A total of 21 nations are competing including the host country, Denmark
The host country, Denmark, is expected to put on a dominant show in the event. Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour, the current world number 2 is guiding the Danish team. Coming off a bronze medal in a recent tournament, Team Denmark is determined to win the Gold Medal this time in their home event.
Germany is the defending team champion. This year, they are an obvious favorite to win gold with world number 1, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl leading the charge.\
When will the tournament be held?
The FEI World Equestrian Games 2022 is set to be contested between August 6 and August 14.
Players representing different nations will compete for 8 days over 4 disciplines. Dressage and vaulting will begin first while para dressage and jumping is scheduled for the later part of the week.
