UFC 285 is the latest professional mixed martial arts event of Ultimate Fighting Championship Promotion. It is scheduled to be held this Saturday afternoon in Las Vegas. The event will feature a total of 14 professional bouts. Five of the bouts will be the main-card events, while the rest will be featured under preliminary cards.
The main event card will feature a title bout between Jon Jones and Cyril Gane for the vacant UFC Heavyweight championship. This will be their first-ever face-off inside the professional ring. The co-main event card will also feature another title bout. Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso will fight for the UFC female flyweight championship at the event.
Jon Jones is a professional mixed martial artist from New York. Known as “Bones”, the fighter currently has a 26-win and 1-loss record. Jones is on a 17-win streak at present. He last fought at the UFC 247 in 2020. There he defeated Dominick Reyes via unanimous decision. A year before that, he defeated Thiago Santos via split decision in another UFC bout. In his career, Jones has a KO-to-win ratio of 38%.
Cyril Gane is currently considered the best mixed martial artist in the heavyweight division. The French professional has a professional record of 11 wins to only 1 loss. Gane has a KO-to-win ratio of 45%. Last year in September he defeated Tai Tuivasa on a UFC Fight Night event via TKO. In January of that year, he faced his career’s first defeat against Francis N’Gannou.
