WTC Match Play is ready to initiate tine 24th and final edition of the popular Texas-based event, as PGA Tour announced the event’s closure last week.

WGC Match Play is a popular Texas-based professional golf event. It was established in 1999 under the sanction of the International Federation of PGA Tour. Currently, the event provides official money on PGA Tour, the DP World Tour, and the Japan Golf Tour.
The upcoming edition of the event is officially titled “WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play 2023.” It will be the 24th annual iteration of the competition. Unfortunately, PGA Tour just announced that this year will also mark the closure of the fan-favorite event.
A total of 64 golfers are scheduled to participate this year. They will be divided into 16 different groups for the competition. The event will maintain a pool play format instead of single elimination, during the initial rounds.
The Prize pool of the 2023 WGC Match Play will be $20 million. Top-ranked golfers like Rory McIlroy, Max Homa, Patrick Cantlay, Tony Finau, and many more will be present in the last edition of the Texas-based event. For more detail on the schedule, course, tv, and live stream keep reading below.
