Wells Fargo Championship is a professional golf tournament for annual PGA Tour. It takes place during May in North Carolina. The four round long competition was first established in 2003 as Wachovia Championship.
Upcoming Wells Fargo Championship will be the 16th annual iteration of the event. It will feature a 156-player field at the Quail Hollow Club on Thursday. Eight of the current top-10 OWGR ranked golfers will be participating in the event.
Like previous years, the tournament will maintain a standard stroke play format over 71 par. Surprisingly, this year’s purse pool has seen a massive increment. This raised the purse size to $20 million with a $3.6 million winner’s share.
