The Volunteers of America Classic on the LPGA Tour will take place in 2022 from September to October 2 instead of the originally scheduled dates of September 19 to 25 at The Colony at Old American Golf Club, a portion of Golf Clubs at The Tribute.
The Volunteers of America Classic, the sole LPGA Tour event to be held in Texas, will feature 144 of the greatest female golfers in the world as competitors in 2022. It is anticipated that many Texans will play again in 2022. Three Texans—Jin Young Ko in 2017, Cheyenne Knight in 2019, and Angela Stanford in 2020—have taken first place in the competition (2021). The prize pool for the players is $1.7 million, which is $200,000 more than the prize pool from the previous year. The prize is worth $255,000.

The Volunteers of America Classic 2022 Purse is $1.7 million, which is $200,000 more than the previous year. The prize money is $255,000. 132 players will compete for the $1.7 million total prize pool, which has grown from $1.3 million. The top seven players in the world, including Jin Young Ko, Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko, Henderson, Atthaya Thitikul, Nasa Hataoka, and In Gee Chun, are competing in the event.
Purse In Previous Year:
The purse for the 2021 Volunteers of America Classic was $1.5 million, with the winner receiving $225,000 as their share, or the regular 15% payout as per the LPGA Tour’s prize money distribution schedule. Jin Young Ko, Sei Young Kim, Jeongeun Lee, and other athletes led the Volunteers of America Classic field then.
