Valspar Championship 2023 Purse:
The 22nd annual edition of the Valspar Championship is quickly reaching its conclusion. The 2023 PGA Tour calendar event is featuring a 150-player field including four of the top-20 OWGR-ranked golfers.
Organizers of the event have enlisted an $8.1 million prize pool for the latest edition. Which is a modest increase compared to last year’s $7.8 million purse. The purse will be shared among the top-65 in the leaderboard, who successfully made a cut during the initial two rounds.
The winner of the Valspar Championship 2023 will receive a $1.458 million reward, a PGA Tour standard 18% share. In contrast, the defending champion Sam Burns received $1.404 million for successfully defending his title in 2022.
There will be a slight increase in the purse share of every position. The reward of runner-up in 2023 is increased from $850,200 to $882,900. While the 3rd placed player’s earnings has been increased from $460,200 to $558,900.
