Texas Open is a popular long-running professional golf event under the annual PGA Tour calendar. The event was first established in 1922 and is the 3rd oldest event in current PGA Tour event list. It is organized and sponsored by the Valero Foundation.
Upcoming edition of the event is officially titled “Valero Texas Open 2023” for sponsorship reasons. It will be played at the Oaks course at TPC San Antonio like the recent years.
The competition at Texas Open will be a standard one maintaining 72-par stroke play rules. It will be a four-round competition, played over the course of four straight days. The upcoming event is set to feature a 144-player field.
Organizers have announced a $8.9 million prize pool for the 2023 event. Eight of the top-50 ranked golfers in OWGR will be present in the field. Popular professionals like Hideki Matsuyama, Si Woo Kim, Chris Kirk, Nicolai Hojgaard, defending champion JJ Spaun and many more will compete in the event to get a shot at the upcoming Masters Championship.

This year’s Valero Texas Open is scheduled to start on Thursday, March 30, 2023. Participates will tee-off at 08:30 a.m. ET to inaugurate the first round of the Texas based golf tournament. It will run till April 02, 2023.

In the United States, golf fans will be able to watch the upcoming Valero Texas Open 2023 live on Golf Channel and NBC. During the firs two rounds, Golf Channel will air the tournament from 04:00 p.m. to 07:00 p.m. ET. While third and fourth round will be televised by Golf Channel from 01:00 p.m. to 03:30 p.m. ET. Then NBC will pickup the live broadcast from there till 06:00 p.m. ET

Valero Texas Open 2023 is scheduled to be organized at the AT&T Oaks course of TPC San Antonio. It is an 18-hole standard PGA Course of 7,435 yards length. The club is located in San Antonio, Texas.
Valero Texas Open 2023 Tee Times:
According to official announcement, the Texas Open 2023 will be participated by 144 professionals. As such, organizers have provided a team-based draw for the first round. Each team will consist of three participants, who will compete against each other in the same hole at a time. There will be 11-minute difference between each team’s tee-time.
First round of the competition will start at 08:00 a.m. ET. During the time, Ryan Palmer, Scott Piercy, Henrik Norlander will team up to tee-off at tee no#1. Dylan Frittelli, James Hahn, Alex Smalley will tee-off at tee no#10 simultaneously for the first day.
