US Open 2023 Purse:
US Open is the popular long-running national golf competition. Established in 1895, the competition is famously regarded as a major championship event for both the PGA and European Tour.
The latest edition of the American golf event is currently underway in California. 156 professional golfers are currently competing in the field. Top class golfers such as Scottie Scheffler, John Ram, Cameron Smith, and other famous golfers are present this year.
The event is featuring a massive $20 million purse pool this year. This amount marks a healthy increment over last year’s $17.5 million. Therefore, there will be some major changes in individual payout distribution.
Winner of this year’s event will receive a standard 18% cut. This amounts to $3.6 million. Which marks a noticable improvement from last year’s $3.15 million winner’s share earned by Matt Fitzpatrick.
Meanwhile, the runner-up and 3rd position holders will receive $2.18 million and $1.38 million respectively. Like the previous iteration, this year’s purse poo will be distributed among only the top-65 participants.
