The latest iteration of the TimberTech Championship began this November 4th and is reaching its completion point on November 6, 2022.
Established as Allianz Championship in 2007, the PGA Tour Champions event officially was renamed as “TimberTech Championship” in 2020. This year marks the 16th iteration of the elderly professional golf event. To some, the event is more familiar as the Boca Raton Championship.
The 2022 TimberTech Championship is held at the old Boca Raton Club course in Florida as every year. A total of 49 professional golfers participated in the event. The event follows a 71-par stroke play format over three rounds.

TimberTech Championship 2022 Purse:
TimberTech Championship 2022 Purse is announced at $2.2 million this year. This is a modest $200,000 increment from the last two year’s $2 million prize pool. This purse pool will be distributed among all scoreboard contestants.
The prize share of the champion of the event is $350,000 this year. This is a $50,000 gain over last year’s winner’s share of $300,000, which was earned by Steven Alker.
While the runner-up in the event earns $194,000. A reward of $158,000 is listed for the 3rd placement holder in the event. The complete $2.2 million purse will be distributed among all 49 participants in the event. As such, even the 49th position holder will also receive a purse of $7,260.
