Featuring the elites of the golf world, the latest edition of the Masters Championship is ready to get underway on the Georgia-based golf course from Thursday. Here you can find the most up-to-date details on the prize money and purse distribution information on The Masters 2023.
The Masters 2023 Purse:
Masters Championship, also simply known as The Masters is an annual professional golf tournament. It is one of the four major international golf competitions featuring only the best of the PGA Tour, European Tour, LIV Golf, and other major tours. A total of 87 professionals are ready to participate in the latest edition, which includes the majority of the top 50 OWGR rankers and 18 LIV Golf competitors.
The Masters 2023 will feature a $15 million prize pool with a winner’s share of $2.7 million. Additionally, the runner-up will receive $1.62 million and the 3rd positioned participant will receive a reward of $1.02 million this year.
While the amount is the same as last year, it is already a substantial sum in comparison to the majority of other major golf Tour events. Previously, the prize pool was at $11.5 million, before getting increased to the current $15 million in 2022.
Like the previous iterations, only the top 50 to make a cut during the initial two rounds will qualify to compete in the following two. Therefore, the prize pool of Masters Tournament 2023 will be distributed only among qualified participants following the tournament’s conclusion.
In this case, the 48th, 49th, and 50th participants will receive $41,100, $39,000, and $37,800 respectively. This is exactly the same amount as last year’s final three top 50 competitors received.
