Thailand Classic is an upcoming professional golf event sanctioned by the European Tour. It is a relaunch of the previous True Thailand Classic that was inaugurated in 2015 and was canceled after two years. Therefore, the upcoming tournament will be the 3rd official iteration of the Thai golf event.
Thailand Classic 2023 will be held on the lush green golf course near the Bangkok city center. The field will feature 132 players for the initial two rounds. Popular European golfers such as Nicolai Hojgaard, Jordan Smith, and more are set to compete this year. A purse pool of $2 million has been announced for the event.
The event will be part of the European Tour’s acclaimed Race to Dubai series tournaments. As such, it will maintain a 72-par stroke play format. An interesting part of the upcoming event will be its 17th hole, which is surrounded by water outside the original course. As so, boats are required to access the 17th hole.
