Regions Tradition 2023 Purse:
The Tradition, better known as Regions Tradition is one of the five major professional seniors golf competitions. The event was established in 1989 and is currently a part of the PGA Tour Champions calendar. The event will start this Thursday, May 11th with 78 professional senior golfers at the Greystone Golf and Country Club field.
Regions Tradition 2023 purse will be $2.5 million. As the purse size of this upcoming event is identical to its previous iteration, there will be no difference in purse distribution either. Winner of the competition will receive PGA Tour Champions standard 15% cut, which amounts to $375,000. It is the same size as defending champion, Steve Stricker received in 2022.
The runner-up of this event will receive a $220,000 purse. Meanwhile, the third-place holder will get $180,000. All 78 competitors will receive a portion of the purse pool based on their rankings on the final leaderboard. Participants to finish in the final three positions – 76th, 77th, and 78th will be rewarded with $1,450, $1,350, and $1,250 respectively.
