Queen City Championship 2022 has been introduced to the Cincinnati Ohio LPGA tour for the first time in the last three decades.
Founded in 2022, the tournament is expected to capture and grow the interest of international and regional audiences for professional women’s golf. It will start on Thursday, September 8, and come to an end on September 11.
The tournament will be played in a stroke-play of 72 holes with 72 Par. It will award a $1.75 million prize fund. 18 top women golf players will join the tournament’s inaugural events. 144 players entered the tournament after the announcement. The tournament play length is set at 6515 yards and will have four rounds.
Defending Champion: Pending
The tournament is taking place for the first time in 2022. So the defending champion is yet to be determined.
But some world-best winners are playing in the tournament including Jennifer Kupcho, Minjee Lee, Brooke Henderson, and Ashleigh Buhai. The first champion will be announced this Sunday, September 11, 2022.
