The LPGA Drive On Championship is a popular Arizona-based women’s professional golf competition. The event quickly gathered fan attention after being established in 2020. The ongoing edition marks the 5th anniversary of the event.
LPGA Drive On Championship 2023 is featuring a $1.75 million purse pool with a winner’s share of $262,500. This is a decent increment over the previous year’s $1.5 million purse, where the champion Leona Maguire earned a $225,000 purse.
A total of 144 professional female golfers have started at the event. However, only 65 of them qualified to the final round. As a result, only the qualified participants will get a share of the purse pool unlike last year’s top 70.
Runner-up at the ongoing Arizona LPGA competition is set to earn $165,070. Whereas the 3rd position holder earns $119,746 as a reward. In contrast, these position holders were provided $139,572 and $101,250 respectively
These increments show an average 18.2% raise in purse share in this year’s individual standings. This year, LPGA is constantly pushing the prize pool of both major and minor events all across the board. And this is definitely a welcoming addition for the players.
