The Women’s PGA Championship is one of the most famous five major women’s professional golf tournaments in the United States. Established in 1955, the event is currently sanctioned under the annual LPGA Tour.
The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship 2023 is the 69th official iteration of the event. It will start this Thursday, June 22. The competition will take place at the Congressional Country Club in Maryland.
A total of 156 female professional golfers of the LPGA will partake in the event. Top-class fan favorites like Lexi Thompson, Kim Sei Young, Lydia Ko, and many more will be present among them.
Organizers of the 2023 event have announced a $9 million purse. This is identical to the previous iteration of the event. Therefore, the winner’s share will be $1.35 million once again. Furthermore, Chun In-Gae will be present to defend her 2022 title.
