The second edition of the ISPS Handa World Invitational is all set to take place at Galgorm Castle and Massereene in Northern Ireland from August 11-14. It is a tri-sanctioned event between the DP World Tour (European Tour), LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour. Here, you will know everything about the ISPS Handa World Invitational 2022.
Two separate tournaments will take place simultaneously on the same courses. Prize funds are set at US$1.5 million for each as the total prize pool is US$3 million. Winners of each tournament will receive US $225,000.
264 golfers, including 132 women and 132 men will compete in the 72-hole stroke-play tournaments. The first field cut will be after 36 holes, separating top-60 players for both genders. The second cut will separate the top 35 after 54 holes.
Last year’s winners Pajaree Anannarukarn (Thailand) and Daniel Gavins (England) will be defending their titles in ISPS Handa World Invitational 2022. Leona Maguire will join Anannarukarn in the women’s field. Maguire historically won the LPGA Tour earlier this season as the first-ever Irish.
Stephanie Meadow and Georgia Hall will also appear on the field. Hall won the ISPS Handa World Invitational in 2019 as well as the Women’s Open champion in 2018. On the other side, Jack Senior, Guido Migliozzi, and Dermot McElroy will join the British defending champion.

The ISPS Handa World Invitational 2022 will be held in Antrim, Northern Ireland. The venue will host the event with its two courses— Galgorm Castle & Massereene Golf Club. One round on each of the first two days will be hosted by the two venues.
Galgorm Castle is one of the most popular venues for tournaments in Ireland. The field has hosted international golf tournaments for more than a decade. Along with Massereene Golf Club, it is all set to feature top male and female professional golfers at the ISPS Handa World Invitational this year.
