Dubai Desert Classic is currently titled “Hero Dubai Desert Classic” for its new sponsorship with the manufacturer company. Sanctioned by the European Tour, it is a part of both the DP World Tour and its Rolex Series tournaments.
The event first launched in 1989 and will run its 35th iteration in 2023. The upcoming event will feature a $9 million purse and winner’s share of $1.53 million. 130 professional golfers from the European Tour will participate in the event.
Popular top-class golfers such as Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood and many more are set to compete in the upcoming Dubai Desert Classic 2023. The defending champion Viktor Hovland will however be absent this year.
