The Second LPGA event of the recently initiated 2023 season is currently going on in Thailand. Read to know more about the prize money and purse distribution of the ongoing Honda LPGA Thailand 2023 event.
Honda LPGA Thailand 2023 Purse:
Established in 2006, this year marks the 16th edition of the popular Honda LPGA Thailand event. It is held annually at the Siam Country Club golf course in Chon Buri. A total of 72 professional female golfers from the LPGA Tour are currently participating in the latest iteration of the Thai golf event.
The ongoing Honda LPGA Thailand 2023 tournament is featuring a $1.7 million purse pool. It will be distributed among all 72 participants based on their standings. There will be no additional cut requirement in the event like the previous year.
The winner of the ongoing Thai LPGA event is set to receive 15% of the purse pool, which is the standard share amount in LPGA. As such, $255,000 of the purse pool will be gifted to the titleholder of this year’s event following the completion of the fourth round.
The runner-up of the event is set to receive $157,385. While the 3rd position holder will earn $114,172 this year. At the end of standings, the 70th, 71st, and 72nd placeholders will earn $3,447, $3,447, and $3,360 this year.
