Another season of the popular PGA Tour Champions is coming to an end. The conclusion of the currently running Dominion Energy Classic 2022 will leave only two events remaining for the 2022 season. Here, you will know Dominion Energy Charity Classic 2022 Purse
The Dominion Energy Charity Classic is a PGA Tour Champions golf tournament hosted in Virginia each year. It debuted in 2016 under the name “Dominion Charity Classic” before changing to its current title two years later. Since its establishment, the event has been held every year without interruption.
This year’s tournament is featuring a list of 68 players. It is being played over 54 holes using the standard stroke play format with no cuts. It began on Friday, October 21, 2022, and will last for four days.
Below is the prize pool breakdown of the popular PGA Tour Champions tournament.
Dominion Energy Charity Classic 2022 Purse:
Unlike its previous iterations, the 2022 Dominion Energy Charity Classic has a total purse of $2.2 million. This means this year’s event saw a $200,000 increase over last year’s $2 million prize pool. In other words, this year’s prize pool will slightly increase for every position.
The winner of the ongoing event will collect $335k in prize money. It represents an 8.95% rise over last year’s $305k reward for defending winner Bernhard Langer. While the runner-up award has been upped from $180,000 to $194,000. This is a 7.7% increase.
Every participant in the event is set to obtain a share of the prize pool, just like last year. As a result, the 76th, 77th, and 79th place finishers will get $1,936, $1,804, and $1,672 respectively. Thanks to the slight increment, amount of individual awards went up this year in most PGA Tour Champions events, including the Dominion Energy Charity Classic.
