Chubb Classic 2023 Purse:
Chubb Classic is a long-running professional golf event held annually in Ft. Myers. The event has recently switched to a senior tournament after becoming a part of the PGA Tour Champions. As the first domestic senior golf event of this year, it featured some popular Champions series golfers.
The latest Chubb Classic 2023 is featuring a purse pool of $1.8 million. The extra $200,000 marks a decent increment compared to 2022’s $1.6 million share. Additionally, there will be an additional Charles Schwab point for every participant will manage to grab a share of the purse pool.
The winner of this year’s tournament will receive a share of $270,000. While the defending champion, Bernhard Langer was rewarded $240,000 for his achievement in 2022. Like the previous year, the 2023 seniors golf event will distribute the reward among the top-78 golfers who successfully made a cut and qualified for the final two rounds.
A notable bump will be present in every position’s share this year. For example, runner-up of the ongoing event is set to receive $158,000. In contrast, previous runner-up Tim Petrovic received $140,800. Even the final position 78th’s quota has been increased from $736 to $900.
