The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic 2023 Purse:
The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic is a Korn Ferry Tour sanctioned event that launched in 2017 along with another event at the Great Exuma of Bahamas. The 6th official iteration is currently going on at the Great Abaco.
Organizers at The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic 2023 have announced a record amount of $1 million purse pool. Of which 18% will be rewarded to the winner of the event. Moreover, the winner will also receive 500 Korn Ferry Tour points. Compared to previous year’s $750,000 pool, this year is a remarkable raise in purse pool.
According to official statement, the winner at Great Abaco Classic will earn $180,000 prize money this year. Which is a decent increment from previous year’s $135,000 reward. The increment is also clearly visible for 2nd and 3rd position. As their purse size has increased from $67,500 and $45,000 to $90,000 and $60,000 respectively.
The purse pool will be distributed among only the top-65 players who made a cut during the first two rounds. Making the 36-hole cuts successfully players are supposed to enter the 3rd round of the event, ties viable too. As such, presently the 63rd, 64th, and 65th position holders are set to receive $4,040, $4,020, and $4,000 accordingly upon the event’s completion.
