The 22nd edition of the popular South African golf tournament Alfred Dunhill Championship started taking place on December 7th, 2022. Here, you will know about the Alfred Dunhill Championship 2022 Purse.
Alfred Dunhill Championship is a popular annual golf competition under the DP World Tour and Sunshine Tour. It is held over 4 rounds with a stroke play format at Leopard Creek Country Club in Mpumalanga, South Africa.
The 2022 iteration of the tournament featured a total of 156 golfers during the first round. However, none of the participants are part of the top 50 OWGR standings. Among the participating golfers, only the top 65 to make a 36-hole cut qualified for the final round.

Alfred Dunhill Championship 2022 Purse:
The latest Alfred Dunhill Championship 2022 Purse is announced as €1.5 million. Which is the same amount as the previous iteration that was held in 2020. However, as an official event in the DP World Tour calendar, it provides additional points for the winner. Each of the 156 participants will receive a share of the 2000 Race to Dubai points based on their standings. This is a considerable decrement from the previous year’s 2750 Race to Dubai point pool.
The champion of this year’s Alfred Dunhill is slated to earn €237,750 prize money. Which is a substantial 5.9% cut from the previous iteration’s €252,639 championship reward, earned by Christiaan Bezuidenhout.
However, the 1st position holder will also receive 14.6 OWGR points, and 335 DP World Tour points. Furthermore, an appropriate amount of Race to Dubai points will be allocated to his standing from the 2000-point purse.
Runner’s up of this year will earn €165,000 reward. For comparison, €98,603 was provided to each of the four T2 position holders in 2020. Additionally, €111,300 purse is announced the 3rd position of 2022. Whereas the 3rd position holder of previous year earned €87,177 prize. Therefore, the second two standings will see a sizable increase in payment in the latest event.
Sadly, lower positions in the standing will also go through around 10% decline in income too. €3,300 will be rewarded to the 64th positioned player, in contrast to last year’s €3,640.
