The purse of the tournament has increased 26 percent from last year’s overall of $5.8 million. It’s also 125 percent higher than the purse of $3.25 million at Royal Lytham & St. Annes only four years ago.
The runners-up will get a payout of $679,250. The player who stands in the third position will be taking home $492,750.
The 70th-ranked player will get $14,877, the purse will be decreasing with the position.
