Misfortune isn’t leaving Ronaldo as the Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt have just rejected the possibility of singing the former Man Utd forward.
The CEO of Eintracht Frankfurt, Axel Hellmann recently revealed that the Bundesliga club was recently offered an opportunity to sign in the Portuguese number 7 during summer. He said to DAZN, “He was even offered to us.” While the club’s supervisory board chairman, Philip Holzer said, “I have the feeling he was offered to every Champions League Club.” However, Hellmann also added that the club wasn’t interested in Ronaldo at that time.
The former Man Ult forward, recently slammed his ex-club manager and the owners. Although, the 37-years old Portuguese football star have showed some clear interest of playing in the Champions League.
Ronaldo’s recent run at the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar wasn’t very promising either. After being benched for two important games, he had to walk out of the tournament’s quarterfinal stage along with his team following a 0-1 defeat against Morocco. Additionally, he had to face multiple controversy surrounding Portugal’s match against South Korea.
The Portuguese forward was recently offered a two-and-a-half-year contract at the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. Reportedly, the offer was worth over £173 million a year. With the recent rejection from Eintracht Frankfurt and Sporting Lisbon, the Middle Eastern club’s offer feels like a solid one for the star player. However, he is still keen on staying at the European League. Thus, fans are expressing their concert relating to Ronaldo’s future at the European side.
