The annual intercontinental beach soccer tournament is here once again. The Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup 2022 is going to initiate this November 1st and run for the following 5 days.

The Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup, also known as the Emirates Intercontinental Beach Soccer Cup is the largest beach soccer event, second to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. Sanctioned by the BSWW and DSC, the tournament was first founded in 2011. Since then, the event has been held successfully every year without 2020.
The upcoming 2022 Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup will be the 11th addition to the event. Eight international beach soccer teams will be participating in the event. Among them, 4 will be from AFC, 2 from CONMEBOL, and 2 from CONCACAF and UEFA each. The eight groups will be divided into two groups of four. Following that, the event will be played in a mix of a knockout qualifier and play-off format.
Russia, the defending champion of the event will be absent this year. At the closing ceremony of the event, the season-ending Beach Soccer Stars will be awarded.
