Red Bull Campus Clutch is an official Valorant tournament for university level students. Organized by both Red Bull and Riot Games, the tournament inaugurated in 2021. Maintaining an annual format, the 2022 Red Bull Campus Clutch was announced for this December. The event is sponsored by popular tech companies like Steelseries, Intel, FACEIT, etc.
This year’s Red Bull Campus Clutch will be an offline event like previous one. However, it is going to be hosted in Brazil this time. The official announced version for the event will be the latest 5.12 patch.
A total of 50,000 students from 300 universities of over 50 countries have participated in over 400 qualifiers to compete in the tournament. The tournament will be played in two stages – group stage and playoff. During the group stage, best of 1 format will be used to determine the winner. While during playoff, all matches will utilize a best of 3 format except the grand final. The grand final winner will be determined over a best of 5 game. The event features a prize pool of $21,013 this year. Which is identical to 2021’s amount.
