The 2022 PUBG Mobile season coming to an end. With this, another iteration of the PUGB community’s biggest annual fest is once again here. The long-awaited PMGC 2022 is ready to begin upcoming Thursday, November 10th.

PUBG Mobile Global Championship or PMGC in short is the biggest annual e-sports event in the battle royale gaming genre. It is an international tournament officially organized by the beloved PUBG Mobile developers Krafton and Tencent Games. The event was first launched in 2020, which is now dubbed “PMGC 2020 (Season 0)”. It boasted a prize pool of $2 million, one of the biggest in the e-sports genre.
Last year, PMGC was divided into 3 parts. The initial two were League East (Asia and Middle East) and League West (America and Europe). Then the qualified teams from two leagues participated in the actual grand finals, for the PMGC champion title and a share of the massive $3.49 million prize pool.
The Chinese team of Peacekeeper Elite, Nova Esports became the champion of the 2021 PMGC. While the Ukrainian professional e-sports team, NAVI settled for the runner-up position. The champion team earned prize money of $1.53 million and the runner-up team received a $630k reward that year.
PMGC 2022 will be the 3rd official iteration of the global PUBG event. From November 2022 to January 2023, 51 teams from different countries will be participating in the tournament for the 2022 champion’s title. The game will be played in the 4-member squad with TPP mode. This year, Sony Xperia will be the major sponsor of the event organized by Krafton, Level Infinite, and VSPN.

The PUBG Mobile Global Championship is scheduled to begin upcoming Thursday, November 1, 2022. It will run for over two months, ending on January 8, 2022. This year’s event will go back to the offline participation format for the grand finals.

How to Live Stream PMGC 2022?
As usual, The PMGC 2022 will be a digital event. It will be live-streamed on PUBG Mobile Esports’ official Facebook and YouTube channel. Official streams will be available in 14 different languages.
Where will the event be held?
- Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
While most of the group and league stage matches will be held online, the Grand Finals of this year’s PMGC will be an offline event. It is scheduled to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Participant Teams of PMGC 2022:
A total of 51 teams are selected to participate in the PMGC 2022. Among them, 3 teams are already invited directly to the grand finals. Team SMG and Alter Ego Limax have already filled 2 of those spots, while the 3rd one is yet to be revealed. PMGC 2022 Prize Pool Distribution:
For the PMGC 2022, the total prize pool is revealed to be $4 million. The increment is slightly higher than last year. The prize money will be distributed among all 51 participants. The actual distribution of the grand finals prize pool hasn’t been disclosed yet.
