Arguably the biggest gaming event of the year, League of Legends Worlds 2022 is finally upon us creating massive hype and excitement in the Esports scene. Let’s check out all you need to know about the event, including the schedule, livestream, bracket, and teams.
Worlds is the most significant tournament of the year in the game of League of Legends. Participated by the very best teams around the world, this event breaks the viewership record with almost every edition. The 2022 World Championship is set to start this Thursday, the 29th of September at a total of four locations in the North America region.
24 Teams from across the world will be participating in this event. The clear favorite for 2022 is JD Gaming. The Chinese teams have been dominating the LOL scene for the past few years. Considering JD Gaming’s form this season, they will be extremely hard to beat. Other than JDG, we have Gen.G and Top Esports, who are also in contention for the title. Both teams are fielding an impressive roster and are more than capable of winning it all.
Besides these top 3, the defending champion Edward Gaming, along with C9, RNG, and T1 are some other teams to look out for. Such prominent teams with exciting rosters are certain to deliver us over a month of intense competition.

Groups and Teams:
A total of 24 teams have qualified for the League of Legends Worlds 2022: One more team was supposed to be there representing LCL. However, due to the recent Russia-Ukraine war, their participation did not materialize. The regions with the most teams in the event are Korea, China, and Europe. Four teams from each of these are set to join the event. The next highest is NA, with three teams.
