Tour of the Alps is a popular professional road cycling race event. Established in 1962, the event has been hosted annually from mid to late April. The race generally starts in the Austrian state of Tyrol and ends near the Italian province of Trentino and South Tyrol.
Upcoming Tour of the Alps 2023 will be the 46th official edition of this long-running road cycling event. It will be a 2.HC class event under UCI Europe Tour. The race will take place in five different stages between April 17 and April 21.
A total of 19 teams will participate in the event. Among them, 8 will be from UCI WorldTeams, 9 from UCI ProTeams, and 1 from UCI Continental Teams. The national road cycling team of Austria will also join the race.
Participants will have to race through a total of 752.6 km of distance during the race. Stages will mostly consist of intermediate off-road and steep mountain tracks. Where will the Cycling event be held?
- Course: Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino
- Location: Austria & Italy.
Giro del Trentino will take place between the state of Tyrol in Austria and South Tyrol & Trentino province in Italy. The entire 752.6 km course will be divided into five different stages. There will be 10 categorized climbs and 15,000m of altitude difference among the stages. It will be mostly an off-road race consisting of two uphill finishes.
