Both the UCI Europe Tour and Women’s World Tour are heading to the Netherlands this week for the latest events of the ongoing 2023 season.

Ronde van Drenthe or Tour of Drenthe is an elite-class professional road cycling event. The event is hosted for both men’s and women’s discipline. Men’s competition is held under the UCI Europe Tour and the women’s side is handled by UCI Women’s WorldTour. The event is held annually in early March.
Upcoming Ronde van Drenthe will be a 3-day event. It will initiate the women’s competition on Sunday and the men’s competition on the following day. It will be a one-day race consisting of only one stage. As the name suggests, the race will be held in Drenthe, Netherlands. Like every year, the oncoming race will judge participants’ attrition, planning, energy reservation, and focus.
For the men’s race, competitors will have to race through 191.9 km of course. While for the women’s race, the course length will be 152.7 km. A total of 20 teams are scheduled to participate in the men’s event. Each team will consist of 7 to 10 professional competitors. While the professional female side will feature 21 teams.

The upcoming Ronde van Drenthe of UCI 2023 season is scheduled to begin on Saturday, March 11, 2023. On the first day, women’s race under UCI Women WorldTour will start at 07:00 a.m. ET. The UCI European Tour race will initiate at 04:30 a.m. ET on the following day.

Where will the Cycling event be held?

Like every year, the races will be held at the flat roads of the Drenthe region. However, there will also be a hill climb of around 750 miles on a landfill site. The men’s race will feature a 191.9 km route and the women’s race will feature a 152.7 km route.
