The 75th edition of the Gent-Wevelgem, the Gent-Wevelgem will be held on March 26 at the beautiful routes of West Flanders. This article is about the information regarding the Gent-Wevelgem 2023.
This is one of the major cycling events, which is organized by the Flanders Classics. The racers will have to pass 260.9 km of routes to finish the race. The distance is shorter than the previous year.
Defending Champion: Biniam Girmay
Biniam Girmay is the defending champion of the race. He has also won the Giro d’Italia last year. He is currently racing for Intermarché–Circus–Wanty.
E3 Saxo Classic winner Wout van Aert will be racing for Jumbo–Visma. Mathieu van der Poel will not be present at the event, we will be seeing Jasper Philipsen representing Alpecin–Deceuninck this year.

Gent-Wevelgem 2023 Routes:
The race will start at the Menin Gate, which is situated in the town of Ypres. the starting point bears the memories of the First World War victims. The racers will travel to West Flanders passing many First World War cemeteries on the way. The will be cobbled climbs of 120 km, which include Kemmelberg.
The racers will have to make nine limbs in the second phase. The racers will have to climb the Kemmelberg thrice during the race. The first 2 ascents will be from Belvedere, and the last ascent will be from the Ossuaire, which is the toughest climb of the race. the race will end at the Wevelgem
