From September 27 through October 2, 2022, Croatia will play host to the CRO Race 2022, a road cycling stage event. There has been seven Tour of Croatia incarnations since its reintroduction in 2015; the third is known as CRO Race. The event is listed as a category 2.1 event on the 2022 UCI Europe Tour schedule.
In the top division for men, Elia Viviani, Micha Kwiatkowski, and Geraint Thomas are the main competitors. Top competitors Damiano Caruso, Vincenzo Albanese, Matej Mohori, Vingegaard Jonas, and Thomas Geraint. The CRO Event, a stage race for men’s road cycling, has been held in Croatia since 2015.
It is a 2.1 event according to the UCI, which is the second-tier of professional stage competitions, and it is a stop on the UCI Europe Tour. The race takes place in April, just before the Giro d’Italia. The event is being organized by former professional cyclist Vladimir Miholjevi’s Top Sports Events. The race is currently held in September and October commencing in 2019, as opposed to its original April date.
Defending Champion: Stephen Williams
Welsh professional cyclist Stephen Williams was born on June 6, 1996. He rides with the UCI WorldTeam Team Bahrain Victorious. He joined the team as a stagiaire in August of last year. He received full team membership in 2019. He took part in 2020 Vuelta a Espaa. His first jersey is in red. He won the CRO Race by gaining the lead during the first Stage 5. In 2022, he won the inaugural stage of the Tour de Suisse.

Routes and Distances
The first stage of CRO Race 2022 will take place on 27 September. It will start from Osijek and then proceed to Ludbreg. It will cover 223.5 km (138.9 mi) and is considered a Flat stage. Stage 2 is set for 28 September from Otočac to Zadar covering 163.0 km (101.3 mi). It is the Hilly stage. The third stage on 29 September will start from Sinj and cover 157.0 km (97.6 mi) to Primošten. It is also a Hilly stage of the race.
Stage 4 on 30 September begins at Biograd na Moru and will end at Crikvenica with coverage of 219.0 km (136.1 mi) continuing in the Hilly stage. Stage 5 on 1 October will go from Opatija to Labin for about 154.0 km (95.7 mi) in the Mountain stage. The sixth stage on 2 October will start at Sveta Nedelja and move to Zagreb covering 158.0 km (98.2 mi) on the Flat stage again.
