UFC San Diego: Vera vs Cruz Prediction
Prediction: Marlon Vera
Being a violent fighter, Marlon Vera is on a streak of 3 consecutive wins and will aim to continue it. However, the decision went to the judges to declare the winner in two of his last three victories.
So, it’s risky to predict him as the fight night main event winner. Vera remains the favorite in the bout having a 2.5-inch reach advantage and a 1.13 submission average compared to just 0.05 for his opponent Cruz. Vera leads with a 56% finish rate compared to Cruz’s 23% estimated in 27 fights each.
On the other hand, it’s really praiseworthy of Cruz come back from several injuries and fought with a never-surrender mentality. He won’t easily surrender on the fight night either but considering all things, we would predict that the night will belong to Vera.
